Pay-for-Performance

Pay-for-performance (also referred to as merit or incentive pay) is a hotly debated concept that has gained new life in the Obama administration. Issues surrounding pay-for-performance include plans' positive and negative effects, the elements of a properly designed plan, how to measure individual teachers when collaborative work is involved, and the merits of using student achievement as a measure to evaluate educators. The resources in this ReadySearchTM are intended to provide information for educators considering and/or implementing pay-for-performance systems.
