What You Can Do On EdReadySearch.org

Connect to the research and information you need, as quickly and easily as possible. Simply type the topic you want in the search box and go! There is no charge for using the site. Many of the research articles are free and others can be purchased online.

There are four basic search functions available to you. They are:

  1. ReadySearchesTM—ERS researchers have chosen specific topics and combed the web to find the most relevant articles or reports (no more than 10 items per topic). We have summarized and organized the information to get you up to speed quickly. Some articles are found on EdReadySearch.org, and some are on other Web sites. Many are free; some must be purchased. It's targeted information from all the best sources. New topics are added often, so check back!
  2. Site Searches—If you want to know more, use the search box on any page to find all the related articles on the topic of your choice that we have right here on the site. You may get a couple of hundred hits but rest assured that all are from high quality, valid educational sources. These articles can all be downloaded immediately. Some are free and some might cost a few dollars—be sure to log in for discounts (or free articles) if you are a member of any Partner association.
  3. AskERS!TM Live Research Assistance—From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, you can chat with a live research assistant online to help with your search. We're just a click away!
  4. ERS Custom SearchesTM—if you can't find the information you want, contact ERS for a Custom Search. We continually review the latest research available on many topics and create compilations of this research for the ERS Info-File series. If we don't have an Info-File on the topic you need, one of our expert researchers, utilizing multiple search engines and our own 20,000) volume library, will review thousands of national and international journals and reports looking for what you need to know. It takes 7-10 days for us to complete a Custom Search, but when we're done, you can speak with confidence on your topic. A Custom Search costs $180, but is free or discounted for ERS subscribers.

EdReadySearch.org partner organizations have created invitation-only communities which meet here on EdReadySearch.org. If you have been invited to participate in an online community, just create a profile using the invited email address, and select "My Communities" to see the list of communities to which you have been invited.
